American History 1
We've had an amazing first two weeks here at the new RHS and are anticipating an even more awesome 1st semester. I wanted to give you an update on where we have been and where we are going in the next week. In both the Academic and Honors American History 1 classes we will be going into deep discussions about the founding of our country with the 13 colonies and some of the Democratic Ideals that led us to Revolution against England. Last week we took our first test and will be taking our second test on this Friday, the 13th. The material is moving swiftly these first two units and students are starting to notice a faster pace as we get into more specific and important information. Students will receive study guides for test two on Wednesday and we will have a brief review session in class on Thursday.
Also, please note that all class assignments and homework can be found on the Assignments Blog for your child's class under "American History I" link at the top of this page. I'm here to help and if there is anything I can do... just let me know! Thanks!
This week holds a lot of excitement for us but also a lot of responsibility. Today in class we will complete our World Religions Projects Fair and we have a Ancient Civilizations Quiz on Wednesday and the Ancient Civ and World Religion TEST on Friday.
On the World History Assignments Blog under the "World History" Link at the top of this page, you will find all the videos, power points, and notes that we covered in class since the beginning. Please make sure you use these as study helps and guides in preparation for your Quiz and Test this week. Study guide for test will be given our on Wednesday in class.
