This week we are jumping into our discussion on the 13 Colonies. How did they all start? Why did they all start? Who started them?... All very important questions we will answer this week. Before we get into assignments and homework I want to share this ppt with you. It will be the best review on the founding of the 13 Colonies as it goes through each of them in a very detailed manor.
In class today we will begin with a Map Quiz on the maps we went over on Thursday. After that we will work on our Colony Movie Posters. The details on that are listed below. We also talked about the Puritans and the Salem Witch trials and watched the video below.
Tonight for homework you need to watch this video on the New England Colonies from the amazing and awesome Mr. Zoller and fill in your Chart for the New England Colonies on the back of your 13 Colonies Map Sheet. Here is the Map Sheet and the Colony charts if you didn't get them in class. Just fill in the chart with the same instructions as Mr. Zoller gives in the video.

Today in class we will begin to look at how things were changing in the relationship between the Colonies and England. We will discuss Colonial Self Government and Enlightenment Ideals that laid the foundation for the Colonies to unit and rebel against "King and Country" of England. Here is the Power Point that we will discuss and go through using Guided Notes.
Tonights homework requires you to read through the power point called "Others in America" and complete the guided notes that you were given in class. If there are things that you do not understand or concepts that you don't get, there will be time to ask about them in class on Thursday. This information will be on the test Friday.

Today in class we completed our conversations about early colonial America by discussing the French-Indian War. This war gave the final blow to an already eroding Colonial/Crown Relationship and will lead us into our discussions next week on the American Revolution. This is today's power point and guided notes.
